Mr. Lalit Jha is a founding member and immediate past president of ANTA. He came to USA in 1991 to pursue Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering. He works as Water Resources Engineer for a private consulting firm called JEO consulting.
He lives in Lincoln NE. He is married to Anita and has a son Michael. In Nepal, he is from Janakpur and alumni of Shree Saraswati High School (1982 SLC batch).

Mr. Ratan Jha, born and brought up in Sisautiya Village in Sarlahi district of southern Nepal, came to the United States of America in 1991 to attend a Master’s program at the University of Oklahoma (OU), Norman. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from OU in 1994.
Ratan is a registered professional engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas. Currently, he lives in Houston, Texas with his wife Mita, daughter Opal and son Rajjat. He has businesses in the areas of real estate development and construction in USA, Qatar and Nepal. Ratan is very active member of the Nepali diaspora in North America.
He’s the Advisor of NRNA-ICC since 2011. Previously, he served as General Secretary of the NRNA-ICC (2009-11), and as Co-Chairman of Non-Resident Nepali (NRN) Association of North America. He is also the founding President of ANTA (www.terai.org), the first ever Teraian association in the US to enhance and promote Teraian’s identity, culture and linguistic heritage in North America.

Dr. Madhav Yadav, from Rauthat Distric, Nepal, is currently residing in Philadelphia, PA. After completing his Masters in Chemistry from Tribhuvan University in 1978, he taught at Institute of Medicine, Maharajgan Campus, Kathmandu for 3 years.
Dr. Yadav is one of pioneer members of Nepali Teraian Community in USA, where completed his MS in Biochemistry from Eastern Illinois University in 1984, and PhD from Southern Illinois University, IL in 1988. He worked as post-doc at Purdue University, IN for four years, and a research faculty at University of California, Riverside, CA for 12 years.
Dr. Yadav currently works as a Research Scientist in USDA, USDA, ARS, Eastern Regional Research Center, Philadelphia, PA. He is a life member of ANTA from very beginning.
