ANTA T7 Cricket Tournament 2024
Swing for Support: Using Cricket to Make a Difference!
We are excited to announce the ANTA T7 Cricket Tournament 2024, scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 19th, at Emerald Fields in Dublin, OH. The tournament will commence at 8:00 AM, and we invite you to join us for a day filled with competitive cricket, camaraderie, and community spirit.
Registration Process: To participate, please register your team and make a payment of the $125 participating fee via Zelle to antatreasurer@gmail.com or through the PayPal link. By registering, you acknowledge the risks involved, confirm you are in good health, and consent to the use of your image for promotional purposes.

ANTA Scholarship Awardee Showcase Webinar
The ANTA Education Scholarships exemplify our commitment to recognizing and supporting exceptional individuals who have displayed unwavering commitment to their academic pursuits. During the webinar, we will have the privilege of hearing inspiring stories from scholarship recipients, including Adya Jha, Sudiksha Chaudhary, Sumitra Yadav, and Susma Chaudhary. Additionally, this webinar will be moderated by the distinguished young investigator, post-doctoral fellow, and ANTA’s most inspiring CEC member Dr. Namrata GR Raut. The event will include a meaningful dialogue on overcoming challenges in the educational journey from high school to college.
ANTA Annual General Meeting 2023
ANTA (https://www.terai.org/) is pleased to announce its Annual General Meeting for 2023 in Lexington, Kentucky USA on 10th June 2023 between 10.45:00 AM to 5:00 PM. ANTA feels proud to host its annual meeting in Kentucky, which is the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the USA.
The Annual General Meeting has a theme of "Exploring ANTA by Breaking Barriers ”. The event is primarily an in-person meeting, and we cordially welcome community members to join us. As always, your help is crucial to collectively shape and work towards ANTA's goals. ANTA is fully committed to serve the Nepalese diasporas in the USA.

Engaging the Diaspora in the Covid-19 Pandemic
The Association of Nepali Teraian in America (ANTA) is hosting a webinar tomorrow (Sunday, May 23rd) at 11:00 AM EST (8:45 PM Nepal Time) titled "Engaging the Diaspora in the Covid-19 Pandemic".
Hon'ble Minister Mr. Hridayesh Tripathi, Minister of Health & Population, and Hon'ble Mr. Brijesh K Gupta, Former Minister & Parliamentarian from Nepal have agreed to grace the event to provide their perspectives on the role of the Diaspora in America and the global context, as well as navigate the myriad ways the community fits into the greater COVID-19 crisis sweeping Nepal at this time.
Dr. Dasharath Lohar, a towering figure & a community leader from Kapilvastu who is based in the USA will also join us as a panelist. We would like to hear from these dignitaries and established professionals originally belonging to Western Nepal in the context of the broader Diaspora and Awadhi diaspora in particular vis-a-vis the ongoing pandemic.
His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada has kindly agreed to be our keynote speaker for the event.
This event will be moderated by Dr. Chakradhar Mishra (Adviser) and Mr. Shiv Mishra (Life Member) and the technical oversight will be provided by Mrs. Ruby Dev (CTO).

This session (part of ANTA’s series on Awadh language and cultural heritage) will be dedicated towards discussing the ancient bonding between Mithila and Awadh and its relevance to the current-day modern global arena.

Managing COVID-19 in Nepal
ANTA is starting a series of webinars starting this Sunday, May 2nd. This series is targeted towards at-risk populations in Nepal where the COVID-19 situation is getting more severe day by day. The focus will be discussing how to manage the virus risk once contracted and available alternative medicines when one has limited access to hospitals.

Articles/Poem/Essay Writing Competition 2021
We're pleased to inform you that ANTA Youth’s Committee is organizing a writing competition where students under age 16 are encouraged to apply. Interested students must send their write-up before April 9, 2021.
Students are free to select a topic of their choice. Top 5 articles from both US and Nepal will be featured in ANTA Trivani Magazine and some additional cash/gift prizes as well. Submit your write-up to prabhat.jha12@gmail.com.

The write-up shouldn’t exceed 800 Words.
Any subject is welcome. Opinion Piece*
All style of writing is accepted including freestyle writing.
Credit and reference should be mentioned if the student directly or indirectly quotes from any previously published materials.
Plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
Students can submit multiple entries.
ANTA EC Committee will decide on the winning article.
ANTA holds the right to make necessary changes to terms and conditions if required.
The winning article will be published in ANTA Trivani Magazine and on its Facebook page.
