We are excited to announce the ANTA T7 Cricket Tournament 2024, scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 19th, at Emerald Fields in Dublin, OH. The tournament will commence at 8:00 AM, and we invite you to join us for a day filled with competitive cricket, camaraderie, and community spirit.

Registration Process: To participate, please register your team below and make a payment of the $125 participating fee via Zelle to antatreasurer@gmail.com or through the PayPal link. By registering, you acknowledge the risks involved, confirm you are in good health, and consent to the use of your image for promotional purposes.

Tournament Format:

  • Teams: Each team will consist of 7 players, with the option of 1 substitute if needed.

  • Overs: The format is T7, where each team will play 7 overs, with each bowler allowed to bowl a maximum of 2 overs. The ball will be provided by the organizers.

  • Powerplay: The first 2 overs will be powerplay overs, limiting the fielding team to only two fielders outside the circle.

Batting and Bowling Rules:

  • Extras: Runs will be awarded for wides and no-balls as per standard cricket rules, with a no-ball resulting in a free hit.

  • No LBW: There will be no LBW rules in play.

  • Field Restrictions: During non-powerplay overs, a maximum of 4 fielders are allowed outside the circle.

  • Super Over: In the event of a tie, a Super Over will be used to determine the winner.

  • Points System: Winning teams earn 2 points, and in case of a tie, each team gets 1 point. Rankings will be determined by Net Run Rate (NRR) if teams are tied on points.

Conduct and Safety:

  • Sportsmanship: Players are expected to maintain the spirit of the game. Any unsporting behavior could lead to penalties, including suspension.

  • Umpiring: The main umpire will be provided by the organizing committee, while the leg umpire will come from the batting team.

  • Protective Gear: Helmets and other protective equipment are strongly recommended.

Miscellaneous:

  • Weather Conditions: Matches may be shortened or rescheduled in case of bad weather, based on the organizers' decisions.

  • Disputes: Any disputes will be resolved by the organizing committee, whose decision will be final.
